Required Information

Non-personal information

Information about your computer, browser type, ISP, as well as your activity on our site is collected automatically. This information is used internally by our IT department to help us optimize our site to improve our users' experience. This information is not linked to your personal information and is not shared with any third parties.

Personal Information

When you enroll in MyHealthCommunity, we need to collect a minimum amount of information such as your name, address, email address, username and password so that we can set up and maintain your account.

Tracking Information

MyHealthCommunity uses cookies in conjunction with beacons to provide you with a richer and more personalized experience while on our site. Turning off cookies on your browser prevents us from storing the information that allows us to recognize, for instance, that you have previously visited a page.

Voluntary Information

New Accounts

When you set up your MyHealth account, you will be asked to provide us with some general demographics data such as your age and gender, along with more specific information about your health and lifestyle and any health or medically-related topics that are of special interest to you. You have the option of not providing this information. If you do provide this information, it is used to construct your profile. Profile information is stored separately from account information in order to let you maintain different privacy level and information sharing options.

• We use the profile information you provide to help personalize the services and advertising content we present to you.

• You can opt in to let us provide your profile information to third-party vendors in order to receive special email offers from them.

Surveys

We may, from time to time, invite you to participate in various surveys. Information gathered from these online surveys is always aggregated with the information gathered from other survey respondents prior to its use. It is never associated with your personal account and so is completely anonymous.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Survey Information

We will sometimes share aggregated survey data with various third parties. Aggregated information cannot be linked to any individual user.

Profile Information

You can opt in to receive marketing emails/offers, based on the profile information you have provided, from partner or third-party organizations.

Usage Profile Information

MyHealthCommunity reserves the right to share your information with third parties, without your knowledge or permission, in certain circumstances:

• To protect the security of our site.
• To comply with requests arising from legal processes.
• In cases of suspected fraud or other related activity.

Changing your Privacy Level Settings

You will always have the option of changing your privacy settings.

Privacy Options Include:

Globally showing or hiding your user profile from other community members. Restricting access to your user profile to individuals on your approved list.

Partner/Third-party Organizations

MyHealthCommunity relies in part on carefully selected partner and third-party vendor organizations to provide you with the extensive collection of content, services, and applications on offer.

Note that:

• These organizations are only given access to your information beyond what any other individual member would have.
• You will not receive solicitations or other offerings of services from third-party organization unless you explicitly choose to do so.
• Access to some information, services, and applications, requires that you link to a third-party site. Whenever this is the case, you are notified that you are leaving the MyHealthCommunity and accessing a third-party site.
